The Next Generation of National Security Leaders

A core mission of the Center for a New American Security is to grow and prepare the next generation of national security practitioners and leaders across the national security enterprise. The flagship program to meet this goal is the Shawn Brimley Next Generation National Security Leaders Fellowship, of which nearly 400 alumni have been a part of through the fellowship’s 15 years of existence. To discuss the importance of bringing younger talent to the table, CNAS Cofounder and Chair of the NextGen Program Michèle Flournoy will be joined on stage by former NextGen fellows who have gone on to truly embody national security leadership.
